If you need a relaxing break during or after chemo I can recommend the Low Wood Bay Hotel within the Lake District. This 4* Hotel is situated on the banks of Lake Windermere and has stunning views with wonderful local walks. Ideal for days out, Ambleside is just 5 minutes away. The staff are very attentive (but not overbearing), my room was gorgeous and the atmosphere relaxed. Catering for both formal and informal dining experiences you just relax. The swimming pool and spa is lovely and warm and everything was clean and tidy. I left the hotel feeling totally refreshed and invigorated.
